Pre-Purchase Tree Inspection — questions
Why not just rely on the building and pest inspection?
Building and pest inspectors assess structures, not trees. They will not tell you that the fig near the boundary is protected under local law, that removing it later needs a permit you may not be granted, or that it has a decay pocket that will cost five figures to manage.
Can you turn this around inside my due diligence period?
Usually. Pre-purchase inspections run 2-3 business days as standard and contract deadlines get priority. Tell us your date when you enquire and we will confirm before you commit.
What if I plan to build or put in a pool?
Say so upfront and the report will assess whether protected trees sit where you want to build. That is the single most expensive thing to discover after settlement — and the cheapest to check before it.
